Learn More About Inogen One G2 Accessories

The Inogen One G2 is one of our most popular portable oxygen concentrators, so it’s also up to us to offer the accessories you will need to go along with it. The Inogen One G2 is a step up from the first Inogen One, in the way that it can deliver more oxygen with a battery life. You can also choose between two different sized batteries as well as two different ways to carry it.

With all of these options, you might not be sure what is right for you. We’ve answered some questions about them in the past, and here we would like to make it easier for you with some frequently asked questions and their answers.

Q. Should I get the 12 cell battery or the 24 cell battery? What is the difference?

A. The G2 12 cell battery is half as small as the 24 cell battery, and they both weigh 2.5 lbs, even though the 24 cell is twice as thick. The 24 cell battery can hold more battery power and give you up to 8 hours of battery life on the lowest pulse dose setting. The higher the dose, the shorter the battery duration will be, of course. The 12 cell battery will offer up to 4 hours of total mobility.

Whichever sized battery you get depends on how many hours out of the day you will need to use your portable concentrator, and how active you are. If you have to leave the house and be on the move for most of the day, and you need to use oxygen therapy for most of the day or all day, you should definitely get the 24 cell battery. If you don’t need it for that long, a 12 cell battery will suit you fine, and will take up less room in your carry bag.

Q. Can I get the 24 cell battery with my Inogen One G2 instead of the 12 cell?

A. Yes! We have a deal on our oxygen concentrator packages page, which offers you an Inogen One G2 portable concentrator with two 24 cell batteries. You can also get an Inogen One G2 package with one 12 cell battery and one 24 cell battery if you would like one of each, or if you would like to try them both to see which one works best for you.

Q. How often will I need to replace the Inogen One G2 gross particle filter?

A. You will need to replace the gross particle filter every 3 to 5 months, depending on how often you use it. If you use it 24/7, it will need to be replaced every 3 months. If you use it 8 hours a day or less, you can go up to 5 months. You will need to clean the gross particle filter once a week with water and a mild detergent such as Dawn. Allow it to dry completely before returning it to the concentrator.

Q. Can I safely charge my Inogen One G2 in the car without draining the car’s battery?

A. You can safely charge the Inogen One G2 in the car, as well as run it at the same time. That means that when you arrive to your destination, your battery has been charged up!
