Because the iGo is larger, it can accommodate a battery that can be removed and charged outside of the unit. The DeVilbiss iGo Battery Pack itself weighs 2 lbs, which only makes the concentrator weigh 19 lbs once the battery is in. One battery will give you around 4.7 hours on the setting of 2, but the duration depends on the setting at which you are using the iGo.
With the DeVilbiss iGo External Battery Charger, you can take a battery out of the concentrator and charge it, as long as you have access to a power source. This way, you can switch out a depleted battery with a spare battery, and charge the depleted battery while you are using the second one. This is great for when you are traveling and don’t have time to stop and charge your iGo. The external battery charger takes around 3 hours to fully charge the battery.
When plugged into a power source with the iGo AC or DC adapters, you can simultaneously charge and run the concentrator. It charges automatically while running the machine, so you can have a charged battery when you are ready to get going.
