Activities and Attractions to do in Grand Junction

  • The McInnis Canyons/Black Ridge Canyons are jagged and remote parks that may not be too inviting to a lot of people. But if you are in for the hard way, this remote and immaculate region would prove to be a paradise for hiking and camping for a couple of days.
  • There are a chain of Old Motels where tourists can come and stay. Most of these motels have vanished but the existing few are fairly well maintained, and give a tough competition to other strings. The 1950-60’s art deco is a thing to WOW at, at these motels.
  • The Old Downtown in Grand Junction is a reworked and preserved hub for quaint shops eateries. One of the most significant aspects of this place is the statues and sculptures made to stand all over the town.
  • Colorado National Monument Trails feature 14 main trails in the park with the longest one being 8.5 miles long. The hiking trail to the Devil’s Kitchen is something you won’t want to miss.
  • The Colorado National Monument seems like a miniature Grand Canyon with steep crevices and vertical walls of color. Rim Drive road is the main trail across the park. Views are extraordinary, overlooking the park colors and valleys.
  • The Botanical Garden which is on Riverside Pkwy is quite easy to find. These gardens are colorful with a lush green section of flowers in bloom. The desert section for the aboriginal plants exhibit is another attraction for visitors.
  • Farmers Market is something you shouldn’t miss. With a variety of fruits and vegetables, arts and crafts and a plethora of entertainment activities, this place offers the best burritos in town. Also, do not miss the performing belly dancers and the barbershop quartets.
  • Visit The City Hall if you are an art enthusiast. This place proffers exquisite modern art piece, and the outstanding sculpture fountain and a bust of a civic leader add to the glitz of this hall. Grand Junction’s anthology of street art is a beauty to behold!
  • This Museum of the West features a superior blend of history and diversity. It showcases the guns and other weapons that were used during the 1800’s. Also there is the uranium mine tour which gives you an insight of how it was mined.
  • The Glenwood Springs is a popular attraction with an adventure park, a cave, thrill rides and other outdoor activities which are more than alluring to its visitors. Spend a day here with your woman enjoying a little picnic or getting involved in some of the never-before fun activities of this place.
