The FAA allows fliers to bring any of 11 different POCs aboard aircraft and use them, with the approval of the aircraft operator and airline. The POCs are allowed for use aboard commercial airline flights traveling within the United States as well as on international flights that begin or end in the United States. Each Portable Oxygen Concentrator is tested and approved for flight travel.

The Inogen One should be placed in a well ventilated area. The air intake and exhaust must have clear access. Make sure you place the Inogen One in such a way that you can hear any alarms. Open the battery door and insert the Inogen One Battery with the handle of the battery up and press firmly to make sure the battery is in the correct position. After the battery is installed and close the battery door. Plug the Inogen One into a AC Power Supply and connect the AC Power Cord to the AC Power Supply. Connect the AC Power Supply to the Inogen One. Once it is plugged in, a beep will sound. Connect the nasal tubbing to the nozzle fitting. The nozzle fitting is located next to the handle of the Inogen One. Use only a single lumen cannula with a length of 7 feet or less.

The Inogen One G2 oxygen concentrator released by Inogen is supposed to be the best portable oxygen concentrator yet. Inogen has advertising this as the oxygen concentrator that has it all. It is an improvement on their original concentrator the Inogen One released in late 2004. The G2 is designed to be more patient friendly and easier to use.
The Inogen One G2 is easy to transport and unobtrusive making it convenient in the home or on the go. The weight is going to be a little over 7 pounds; that is almost 3 pounds lighter than the original Inogen One concentrator. The batteries are also an improved feature; the batteries last over 8 hours long on a single charge. They also designed the G2 with two different batteries, a normal battery and an extended battery for extra long battery life. A 8 hour battery life almost doubles any other portable oxygen concentrator on the market today. The closest competitor is the Respironics EverGo at 4 hours each battery.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition which causes interruptions in breathing during sleep. It is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep as the throat muscles intermittently relax and block the airway.
In obstructive sleep apnea, breathing is interrupted by a physical block to airflow, despite the effort to breathe. The most noticeable sign of obstructive sleep apnea is snoring. However, not everyone who has OSA snores.

Researchers in the US found that napping boosts brain power by clearing out the brain’s temporary storage space so it can absorb new information: they also propose that this clearing out process happens during a specific stage of sleep.
Lead investigator Dr Matthew Walker, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, presented the preliminary findings of a study he conducted with other colleagues on Sunday, 21st February at the annual meeting of the American Association of the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in San Diego, California.
